What is Sender Id in SMS ?Sender ID is a set of characters either they are alphabetic or numeric which represents the identity of a sender with operator information. Let's take an example, when you receive a regular SMS from a friend or family member, her/his name (as stored in your contacts) is displayed as a Sender. If you haven't save his/her number then you will see the Sender's mobile number. It represents the brand name, company name or any institution name. It is limited to 6 characters by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) neither more than 6 characters nor less than it.
